Contra Naturam

Contra Naturam (against nature) is a working title for a long term project exploring ‘non-­representational abstraction’ and density of image, drawing its inspiration from the form and presence of trees and shrubs as a metaphor for the complex psychological impact of the modern urban landscape to offer the viewer a gestalt that can be discovered through interpretation and perception. The selection of images displayed here are initial soft proofed crops from contact film scans.
