Times Past and Present

Having worked for the Museum of Richmond when he was younger, David had always been fascinated by the feel of museum or archival objects/images. The project here explores the idea of presence in the 17th century Ham House by the Thames and looks at the subtle sense of the people who lived there in the past through the wall hung portraits, chairs, beds, subdued and reflected lighting in the house. The project was originally exhibited in Ham House and a selection of the images from the exhibition are displayed here.
